AEROSPACE VALLEY

France : Nouvelle Aquitaine and Occitanie

Aerospace Valley (AV) is the largest European triple helix cluster dedicated to aeronautics, space and embedded systems. AV gathers 852 members from industry and research, including amongst others 504 SMEs as well as large corporate groups and OEMs, the major aerospace research establishments, engineering schools and local authorities, mainly located in South-West of France. AV aims at boosting its members development and competitiveness notably through entrepreneurship and innovation support actions.

 

Aerospace Valley is the coordinator of the NEPTUNE project. AV brings as well its expertise to lead the organisation of innovation clubs dedicated to the emergence of cross-sectoral and cross-border project ideas led by SMEs. Furthermore, as part of its cluster activities and ESA-BIC network, AV will provide entrepreneurship and innovation support services directly to SMEs.

ADI-ALPC

France : Nouvelle Aquitaine

ADI-ALPC is the new regional economic development and innovation agency for “Nouvelle Aquitaine” (Aquitaine Limousin and Poitou-Charentes) in Southwest France.

 

With 80 experts on 5 different sites (Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Limoges, Pau and Poitiers), the agency provides support to all the companies (SMEs, start-ups…) and territories across the region.

 

In accordance with the regional policy of economic development, our five missions are to:

-          Assist companies in their transformation

-          Support emerging industrial sectors in the region

-          Assist French and foreign companies set-up and grow in the region

-          Facilitate regional networks related to innovation and economic development, and manage territorial projects

 

The Agency is an active member of the Enterprise Europe Network (www.entreprise-europe-sud-ouest.fr), the world's largest support network for small and medium sized businesses supported by the European Commission.

CORALLIA

Greece : Whole country

Corallia is a multi-Cluster organisation, incubator and youth entrepreneurship accelerator established in 2005. Coordinates 3 innovation clusters with more than 160 members: the gi-Cluster (creative), the mi-Cluster (microelectronics) and the si-Cluster (space) and is awarded with the Gold Label of Cluster Management Excellence. Operates 2 thematic Business Innovation Centres (BICs) totaling more than 6.000 sqm: the α2-innohub and the π1-innohub and is awarded with the EBN EU|BIC certificate for quality business support. Implements a series of initiatives to stimulate youth entrepreneurship with partners and donors: the egg, the Educational Trip, Hackathons, etc. Corallia is also awarded with an ISO 9001:2008 certificate by TUV NORD CERT and demonstrates strong engagement in European policy bodies and has established key-strategic international collaborations.

 

Role in the project:

Corallia is the WP3 (Innovation support) and T3.3 (Implementation of vouchers/coaching/mentoring scheme to mature ideas/large scale demonstrations) leader and main contributor to WP2/T2.1 implementation of vouchers for would be entrepreneurs and to WP1/T1.4 Organisation of innovation clubs.

ESTIA

France : Nouvelle Aquitaine

ESTIA (Advanced Industrial Technologies Superior School) is the Engineering Institute of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city of Bayonne, Basque Country. ESTIA has been providing education and training for ten years, in the areas of industrial technologies. The ESTIA campus is composed of three entities:

ESTIA, Engineering school, with about 600 students.

- ESTIA ENTREPRENDRE, dedicated to welcoming and supporting entrepreneurs and new technology-based business. ESTIA holds in their facilities a Business and a Project Incubator with a technological vocation. This structure allows the support of new start-ups, providing premises, training and services adapted to their specific needs

- ESTIA RECHERCHE, research Group composed of approximately 50 persons (researchers, Ph.D students, post-doctorates).

Main contributions of ESTIA in NEPTUNE:
- Development of an innovation & interclustering methodology to support the identification of market trends and emergence of new ideas (in collaboration with AerospaceValley).
-Training of clusters managers on the proposed methodology

EURECAT

Spain : Catalonia

Eurecat is the Technology Centre of Catalonia. It’s the result of the integration of the most important technology centers from the TECNIO network: Ascamm, Barcelona Media, BDigital, Cetemmsa and CTM. Combines the experience of over 450 professionals, generating an annual income of € 40M. The new center serves over a thousand businesses, participates in over 160 national and international R&D&i high level strategic projects, and has 36 international patents and 7 technology-based companies.

 

Eurecat will contribute providing transdisciplinary approach and wide experience in the application of new technologies to systems interoperability. Eurecat’s portfolio includes technologies susceptible of being exploited and promoted in the following areas: (i) water allocation, (ii) energy efficient distribution of water; and (iii) efficient irrigation planning. These technologies include artificial intelligence applied to smart advisors. Furthermore, it also has developed knowledge management including the definition of ontologies, advanced data management, data analytics, software technologies, Web 2.0 and the semantic web.

INNO TSD

France : Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur

inno TSD is part of the inno group which is a European consulting company specialising in innovation strategy consulting and research and technology valorisation, with offices in Germany (Karlsruhe, Berlin and Rostock), France (Sophia Antipolis, Strasbourg, and Saint-Brieuc), and in Sweden (Stockholm). The group is made up of a multidisciplinary team of more than 60 consultants. 

inno TSD, the French subsidiary of the group based in Sophia-Antipolis, was established over 25 years ago. It has earned itself an outstanding reputation in the fields related to innovation and economic development not only within France but also throughout Europe. Today, inno TSD has amongst its clients, national agencies such as ANR, large companies such as EDF, and international organisations such as UNIDO and assures the management of a number of projects financed by the European Commission (DG Growth, DG Research and Innovation, DG Connect...) such as the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. 

 

inno TSD brings to the NEPTUNE project its valuable experience in innovation policy evaluation, and in assessing the potential of innovative projects, thus is the leader of the WP4 with the aim of designing an on-going monitoring and evaluation process for the project. In addition, inno TSD will call up its extensive knowledge of European, national and regional innovative eco-systems, innovative clusters, SMEs and its involvement in relevant networks at EU level, to lead the organization of international C2C and C2B match making activities under WP1, and the generic communication and dissemination of targeted information at the right moment to key stakeholders.
